The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will drive business transformation through the development and implementation of advanced analytics and data insight capabilities. This includes creating dashboards, visualizations, algorithms, machine learning models, and business tools for use across the organization. The role involves working closely with the Sr. Manager, Analytics & Insights to guide, develop, manage, and refine the Enterprise Business Intelligence roadmap, mentoring junior analysts, and leading other initiatives.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Northbrook, IL Corporate Headquarter. This role typically works in the office two days each week.

A day in the life as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst…

  • Understanding business stakeholders’ objectives, key metrics, and performance measures to provide actionable data and insights

  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications

  • Building and maintaining robust reports, dashboards, and metrics for precise business performance insights

  • Collecting, aggregating, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to drive business performance insights using SQL and visualization tools such as Microstrategy or Tableau

  • Implementing and optimizing machine learning models to enhance business decision-making

  • Utilizing AI platforms to automate and enhance reporting processes and insights generation

    What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Exceptional analytical skills and a passion for data

  • 5+ years of SQL experience, with the ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large data volumes

  • 5+ years of industry experience in report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence, or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques, and technology

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and AI platforms

  • Curiosity and passion for data, visualization, and problem-solving

  • Familiarity with Cloud Data Warehouses like GCP/BQ, AWS

  • Proficiency in automating recurring reports and driving process improvement using appropriate technologies

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Microstrategy, or similar data visualization tools

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field. Master’s degree preferred

  • 5+ years of data analytics experience

  • 5+ years of experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy

  • Experience with machine learning and AI platform integration is highly desirable
