This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois. Hybrid work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. Candidates interested in hybrid work are encouraged to apply.

Purpose:

Contribute to the development and implementation of the consumer tactical plan that will achieve the objectives set in the strategic Brand Plan.

Coordinates consumer-facing programs and materials that are distributed across multiple channels. As such, collaborates extensively cross-functionally with Communications, Commercial Insights, Medical, Regulatory, and Legal. This position is highly engaged in the development of strategy with Brand Management and cross functional colleagues by providing/compiling/developing critical information at the request of Brand Management. This position often utilizes and manages external vendors.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage development and execution of Consumer CRM program

  • Brand Lead for Consumer Market Research

  • Lead development and execution of social media tactics

  • Lead development and execution of DOL and celebrity strategy and tactics

  • Coordinate the tactical plan by: developing critical initiative timelines, directing marketing programs, controlling the prioritization of project and process workload.

  • Lead/Administer the development and review of marketing/sales materials (MAP)

  • Contribute project metrics to gain insight for future action.

  • Manage and enhance existing and new consumer marketing tactics and programs.

  • Collaborate with cross functional departments (including Communications, Commercial Insights, Medical, Regulatory, and Legal) to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and recommend new stakeholders for development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • This level requires 8 plus years of related, relevant marketing experience (i.e., sales, sales training, market research, marketing operations, etc.) and/or equivalent education.

  • Demonstrated ability to be a high level contributor or leader of multiple projects, processes or functions.

  • Should have knowledge of the disease state to which assigned, demonstrated by the ability to converse with professionals about the disease state and related products.

  • Ability to present complex issues to higher level management is a must.

  • Willingness to travel (10% to 30%).

Preferred:

  • MBA or other Advance Degree

  • Expert knowledge in the disease state or product category to which assigned.

  • Specialized training in the assigned disease state area is a big plus as is 4 plus years of marketing experience or specialized education in marketing.
