Apprentice Plumber

$33-38/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a 3rd year apprentice plumber or someone with equivalent experience for a long-term opportunity. You will work on new construction commercial projects, handling a variety of piping installations, including 12-14 inch plastics, cast iron, domestic water systems, and hydronics. You will also be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints to ensure installations are completed as designed.

Responsibilities

• Install various types of piping, including 12-14 inch plastics, cast iron, and domestic water systems.

• Work on hydronic systems.

• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to complete installations according to design.

• Participate in new construction commercial projects.

• Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards.

Essential Skills

• 3rd year apprentice status or equivalent experience.

• Experience in light commercial construction.

• At least 1 year of new construction experience.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints.

• Experience with hydronics and fan coils.

• Ability to commute to the project site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vehicle.

• Red Seal certification.

• HVAC piping experience.

• Gasfitter ticket.

• Experience managing apprentices.

• Ability to read control guy shop drawings.

Work Environment

Work primarily in new construction settings, both indoors and outdoors. The current project is located in North Vancouver. You will be part of a team of up to 25 people, with free parking available. The standard work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $44.00/hr.
