We are seeking a proactive and organized Project Coordinator to take full ownership of lab operations, manage inventory, and streamline shipping processes. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the fields of cameras and robotics, in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Lab Operations: Take full responsibility for maintaining and organizing lab hardware inventory, ensuring all hardware is tracked, stored, and utilized properly. Manage the end-to-end process of hardware orders, including vendor communication, procurement, and inventory updates. Lead the organization of shipments to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Identify and implement improvements to lab processes to increase efficiency and organization.

  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain lab hardware inventory using our internal system (similar to Google Sheets or Excel). Track all incoming and outgoing hardware, ensuring accurate logging of all part numbers and quantities.

  • Shipping Coordination: Oversee customer shipments, ensuring all hardware is prepared, packed, and shipped on schedule. Handle shipping documentation and liaise with carriers to ensure smooth logistics.

  • Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to onboard new suppliers, gather necessary information, and ensure proper integration with our procurement system.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to improve current inventory and shipping procedures. Proactively suggest and implement organizational improvements to optimize lab operations.

  • General Lab Support: Assist with manual testing and other lab tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members, including the Senior Lab Technician and Team Leads.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Organizational and Ownership Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of processes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or shipping coordination preferred. Experience in project management or parts coordination is a plus.

  • Ambiguity Handling: Comfortable working in a less-structured environment, where independent decision-making and problem-solving are required.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic inventory management systems (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Quick, or similar). Basic knowledge of electronics is a bonus but not required.

  • Communication and Initiative: Strong ability to interact with vendors, team members, and customers while working independently and taking initiative.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry packages up to 30 lbs. Must be able to move around the lab frequently, including bending, lifting, and organizing inventory. Handle tasks that may require quick, last-minute adjustments, such as preparing shipments or handling hardware requests.
