Space Dynamics Laboratory Student: Videographer Assistant in North Logan, Utah

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) marketing team is looking for a student assistant videographer to expand our production capabilities. The hired candidate will work closely with a video and motion design specialist and assist in various projects, as directed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create, produce, and edit original video content
Operate professional video, lighting, and sound equipment
Proactively coordinate with engineers and subject matter experts to document work being done at the Lab
Work collaboratively to develop creative solutions for promotional media materials
Assist in filming and distributing videos of webinars, lectures, and events to local and remote employees
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be an undergraduate currently studying film, video production, motion design, graphic design, or a related field
Must be available to work on-site in Logan, Utah
Capable of meeting tight deadlines and quickly turning around high-end video content
Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail oriented
Excellent communicator who can clearly explain project needs to internal stakeholders and vendors
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder)
Ability to work on projects individually and on a team
A natural storyteller with strong interview and research capabilities
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
Portfolio demonstrates strong ability in video capture including creative composition and lighting techniques, sound design, and editing
Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person
Submissions without portfolios will not be considered
Preferred Qualifications
Motion design and animation skills
Understanding of typography and graphic design best practices
Ability to shoot still photography
