Description We are offering an opportunity in the Transport industry for a Controller role based in North Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the accounting department and overseeing the production of periodic financial reports. You will also be involved in financial analysis and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll.

• Implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.

• Oversee the production of periodic financial reports ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Prepare and review cash flow reports and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.

• Provide financial analysis with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

• Work with external auditors and provide necessary information for the annual audit.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

• Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.

• Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, including their control systems, transaction-processing operations, policies and procedures.

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Budget Processes. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role within the transport industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and requirements

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning software

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions and Auditing principles

• Experience with Budget Processes

• Ability to effectively manage financial data and produce insightful reports

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field

• Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in financial forecasting

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
