Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Production Manager in North Kingstown, Rhode Island

Summary Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Production Manager for our North Kingstown, RI location. Description: The production manager will be Responsible for insuring that the factory achieves the build plan and meets customer requirements while minimizing total cost and customer lead-time. Responsible for lean initiatives, productivity, quality and day-to-day management of production staff. Manages improvement projects that correct any production related issues that effects MPS performance, customer delivery, inventory turns, and cost. Manages the machine shop, electrical repair, machine rebuilds, new machine assembly and calibration. Job Responsibilities Scheduling department workload to meet the Production Plan and customer requirements Coordinating, planning and communicating build/ship schedules Directing the factory in identifying, resolving, identifying root causes to production issues Leading efforts toward improving manufacturing methods/processes through documentation/training Actively contributing to new product introductions and expansion plans Working with Engineering to coordinate and structure BOM's and routings in LX Creating annual operating and capital budgets Working with Materials management to implement new processes Developing a long-term plan to strengthen management and technical skills in manufacturing Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 5 years of experience in Production Management Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, quality and lean manufacturing Comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems Demonstrated leadership competencies Well-developed problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and follow-though Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project and CAD.
