TEKsystems Groovy Developer in North Chicago, Illinois

Description

Work collaboratively with technology teams to design, engineer, and implement technology solutions that solve business problems. Improve Jira and Confluence tools that drive productivity and efficiency gains for technology . This role is aligned with the Operations & Enterprise Systems (OES) IT organization and responsible to develop automations, scripts and integration for Jira, Confluence and associated Atlassian add-ons to improve the efficiency of the OES organization.

These developers will join the Digital Delivery Pipeline team, their mission is to help our teams delivery value to the business faster, with higher quality and less cost.

Responsibilities:

•Design, develop, document and implement technology solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.

•Serve as technical resource to develop, test and implement new capabilities, or operational improvements.

•Resolve technical problems using analytical problem solving methods/techniques and associated tools/devices.

•Develop complex scripts and automations using Groovy language and Atlassian Scriptrunner.

•Work productively in performing activities. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects.

•Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or related field.

• Understanding of a software delivery lifecycle (SLC).

• Experience in designing, building and documenting software solutions.

• Working understanding of relational databases.

• Expert with programming in Groovy and/or Java

• Expert with documenting designs, script logic, unit tests and implementation steps.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Skilled in configuring Atlassian workflows, custom fields, schemes, add-ons, pages, content, spaces, permissions and integrations

• Experience creating or modifying Jira and REST APIs for integration with other tools like Comala, PDF Exporter, Atlassian Assets, ServiceNow and other integration/automation frameworks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $68.00/hr.
