Lineage Logistics Sales Manager in North Charleston, South Carolina

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage, train, and provide performance feedback to your team. Assign duties effectively to ensure productivity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.

  • Strategic Growth: Partner with the Site General Manager to create targeted action plans that generate new sales leads and prospects within the market. Your strategic vision will fuel our growth.

  • Customer-Centric: Develop and nurture both local and global customer relationships. Showcase your strong customer focus by understanding and addressing their needs.

  • Engage and Persuade: Craft and deliver compelling proposal presentations and Request for Proposal (rate quote) responses. Identify and resolve prospective clients' business challenges with innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate and Expand: Work with other Sales Managers and the Global Account team to sell our suite of services across the Lineage network. Your collaboration will drive comprehensive service solutions.

  • Financial Stewardship: Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable, maintaining financial health and accountability.

  • Data-Driven Success: Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports to achieve maximum profit margins. Your attention to detail will drive our profitability.

  • Performance Excellence: Monitor and maintain awareness of performance against Key Performance Indicators. Provide sales performance updates to Senior Management, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.

  • Budget Management: Oversee budget and control expenses to meet targets and guidelines, ensuring financial discipline and efficiency.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Join forces with the General Manager and facility leadership team to unlock new levels of operational efficiency and achieve ambitious continuous improvement targets. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving sales growth and ensuring our processes are streamlined and effective.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or sales management, with a proven track record of success.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management, including prospecting, selling, and closing new business.

  • Product Expertise: Ability to gain deep knowledge of our full suite of service offerings and leverage this to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing, training, and developing sales teams to achieve high performance.

  • Analytical Skills: Basic math skills to support data analysis and decision-making.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both internal and external customers.

  • Presentation Skills: Strong ability to lead discussions, make compelling presentations, and explain technical results to a non-technical audience.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including cold storage sites with temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C and dry storage sites up to 100°F/37°C, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, if necessary, to meet business needs.

  • Noise Tolerance: Must be comfortable with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
