Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

Operate electric-powered industrial trucks with lifting devices to move products, equipment, and materials. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include accurately writing the order number, name of the receiver, and quantity on every order, box, pallet, packages, and bins pulled. Promptly report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate leader. Assist in freight running and product locating once orders are pulled. Report any broken pallets to the supervisor, complete daily forklift maintenance checks, monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and ensure material handling equipment is left at the proper charging station.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Work Environment

The work environment is COLD, involving work between the fridge area and freezer . Proper attire is required to keep warm, including non-slip boots and big jackets. Available shifts include: 2 High Reach operators on 1st shift (one M-F and the other Tue-Sat) from 7:30am-3:30pm; 3 Forklift Operators on 2nd shift (M-F 3:30pm-11:00pm).
