THE WORK:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will spearhead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a suite of cyber test tools. These tools are essential for designing and executing rigorous cyber testing and training events. You will manage all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring our software solutions robustly meet the demanding requirements of government cyber testing.

Our Cyber and Intelligence group is seeking a Software Engineer with a flexible skillset who enjoys learning new technologies to join its cyber range team. The successful candidate will lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a set of cyber test tools used to design and execute cyber testing and training events. The Software Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle in regards to running Cyber Test and Training Events - ensuring that our software solutions meet government cyber testing needs.

The Software Engineer should have a background in automation, system administration, software development including scripting, and basic understanding of other various computing and cyber topics.

Responsibilities include:

• Own the software development process

• Identify and lead Digital Transformation initiatives

• Maintain multiple baselines

• Contribute to schedule and cost baseline development

• Metrics tracking and reporting

• Develop and maintain productivity/estimating data

• Coordinate software enhancement needs with Cyber Event Designers and Leads

• Represent software in customer interactions

• Support of technical and programmatic reviews

• Architectural and software design review and input

• Obsolescence identification and remediation/development

This position may be eligible to receive up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus!

Must be eligible to receive a TS/SCI clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree with a focus in computer science, or a focus in computer and information sciences, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science and software engineering topics.

• Prior usage or knowledge of infrastructure configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.

• 3+ years of experience with software development and software engineering (can overlap with other experience).

Must be eligible to receive a TS/SCI clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Expert knowledge of: software development to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (computer, network, storage).

• Expert knowledge of PowerShell, bash scripting, python scripting, and C/C++ development.

• Experience developing or modifying web applications using web development frameworks such as Django, Ruby on Rails, Flask, Angular, Bottle, jQuery, Meteor.

• Prior usage or knowledge of one or more continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

• Prior usage or knowledge of one or more of the following MySQL, MariaDB, mongoDB, Postgres SQL, or no SQL.

• Knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP.

• 2+ years of experience with cyber testing or training to include experience with defensive and offensive cyber tools and TTPs or relevant experience (can overlap with other experience).

• 2+ years of systems administration experience (can overlap with other experience).

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
