Stark State College Instructor/Clinical Coordinator, RN Nursing in North Canton, Ohio

This position is a full-time position with direct responsibility to facilitate the practice lab experiences for students while working collaboratively with nursing faculty to implement simulation in the nursing curriculum. This position is a 180-day contract plus a 20-day supplemental contract. You'll Be a Great Fit If: You bring current or recent skills from direct engagement in a significant manner in nursing You are skilled in nurturing partnerships to coordinate and maintain placement sites for clinical or experiential learning for students; You are skilled in hiring, scheduling, making assignments, providing work direction and professional development and performance evaluation; and You have effective organizational, time management, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills along with a high level of experience and comfort using online databases and spreadsheets. Typical Responsibilities Include: Serving as the main point of contact and liaison between all associate nursing degree program cohorts and clinical partners.Preparing, maintaining and distributing a master clinical schedule.Coordinating student clinical placements.Supervising and overseeing the daily operations of the clinical instructional assistants, including hiring, scheduling, making assignments, providing work direction, problem-solving consultation and performance evaluation.Networking with community and industry partners to build a strong nursing advisory board that promotes the healthcare needs of the community.Serving on community, state, and professional committees, or boards and participates in community service in the pursuit of excellence. To Be Considered You Need: A minimum of a Master's of Science in Nursing degree;A minimum of two years of current or recent experience involving direct engagement in a significant manner in nursing;Must be a Registered Nurse with a current, active, unrestricted license in the state of Ohio;Current certification in basic life support through the American Heart Association; andA minimum of one year of teaching experience, preferably in teaching nursing practice lab in an associate degree program or an education/staff development department.
