Position: Operations Research Analyst (Entry to Senior Level)
Location: Norfolk, VA
Overview:
Group W is seeking an entry to senior level Operations Research Analyst to support a government client in the planning, execution, and documentation of military analytical studies. Studies will employ methods ranging from operations research, statistics, data science, modeling and simulation.
Requirements:
- 0 - 15+ years' experience or the ability to learn, understand and apply research development and design principles methods and practices
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other related disciplines
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred:
- Proven experience using research concepts, practices, and procedures in operational environments and programming
- Master's and Ph.D. preferred for more senior positions
- Ability to develop and brief analysis results to internal and external leadership
- Ability to manage a wide variety of complicated tasks concurrently
- Ability to lead, manage, and direct others as requested
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform junior to high-level systems research, analysis , design, documentation, and integration related to military systems capabilities and operational objectives
- Assist in defining research scope and objectives to optimize military decision making and policy formulation
- Use modeling and research methods to facilitate the development of innovative and cost-effective strategies, products, and software technologies
- Collect and analyze data to develop decision support for complex information services or products
- Perform risk assessments and recommend process improvement techniques related to research objectives
- Participate in presentations, training, and briefings as req uested
- Complete documentation related to research tasks and scope
- Provide consultation on complex projects at the highest levels as requested
Salary:
$80,000--$175,000
