Are you a Quality Assurance professional dedicated to producing high-quality products while ensuring safety and compliance? Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance their quality management systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our client's products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.If you are passionate about food safety and quality and are ready to make an impact in the food manufacturing industry, we would love to hear from you!

salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Must be familiar with the Quality System requirements of the plant

  • Reviews processing activities to ensure conformance to specifications

  • Assures that products are being produced in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's Part 110.0;117.0)

  • Responsible for coordinating of the Food Safety Plan

  • Investigates and communicates to the Q.A director all food safety issues

  • Supervises the daily activities of the technicians

  • Schedules the work assignments of the technicians

  • Responsible for assessing the training needs of the technicians, making sure that training is adequately performed and documented

  • Ensures that a safe work environment exists in the department and that safety meetings are conducted and documented

  • Reviews and update work aids (instructions, charts, manuals, bulletins, code date calendars, etc.) essential for verification of product quality

  • Monitors technicians' adherence to department's policies, procedures and work instructions

  • Assists in resolving quality related issues throughout the plant

  • Participates in safety and sanitation audits

  • Coordinates Mock Recall teams and assists in successfully completing mock recalls

  • Assumes the duties of Lead Auditor and Qualified Individual (FSMA)

  • Collects and interprets data needed to continuously improve production processes and product quality

  • Verifies that department's standard operating procedures complies with BRC requirements

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • manual lifting up to 35lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time
