Solution Architect, responsible for working with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts. This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization for different projects. The Solution Architect will align solutions with business objectives, ensure architectural consistency, and contribute to technology adoption and innovation, particularly in C#, Microsoft .NET, Azure cloud and SQL Server. This is a hands-on role requiring to write code as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Discovery & Analysis

  • Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders

  • Analyze business needs and translate them into actionable technical solutions

  • Working with Enterprise Architect

  • Take direction from the Enterprise Architect to align solutions with enterprise strategy and goals

  • Project Focus & Architecture

  • Document and develop an in-depth understanding of the current state architecture

  • Develop future state artifacts aligned with business objectives

  • Maintain focus on project goals and strategic alignment, with a focus on Microsoft technologies

  • Solution Design & Implementation

  • Create comprehensive solution designs aligned with business and technical requirements

  • Assist with the implementation plan and testing strategy

  • Create and maintain solution artifacts, particularly leveraging C#, .NET, Azure, and SQL Server

  • Required to write code if necessary for the project

  • Solution Review & Maintenance

  • Conduct solution reviews to ensure alignment with business and technical needs

  • Keep solutions updated to reflect evolving requirements and advancements, particularly in Microsoft technologies

  • Collaboration & Consensus Building

  • Facilitate consensus building among stakeholders and team members

  • Develop and maintain reusable code libraries and reference architectures, particularly for C#, .NET, and Azure

  • Innovation & Proof of Concept

  • Lead and contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new technologies, especially within the Microsoft technology stack

  • User Stories & Documentation

  • Write user stories and technical specifications to guide development

  • Production Support & Trouble shooting

  • Participate in production support activities and trouble shooting

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 8-10+ years of experience in technology roles, including architecture or technical leadership capacity

  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining solution architectures, especially using C#, .NET, Sql Server and Azure

  • Experience with vendor management and building vendor relationships

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with modern-day IT management concepts, including strategic planning, enterprise architecture, and cloud computing

  • Demonstrated competency in communicating the value of architecture to stakeholders and senior management

  • Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and conduct executive-level presentations

  • Ability to collaborate and influence at various levels - both IT and business

  • Proven self-directed with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
