Description

UKG is seeking a dynamic and passionate lead full-stack engineer with expertise in Back-End Software development for one of our Workflow Teams. You will work within a global and distributed team to develop quality software aligned with product and company objectives and take part in building one of our next-generation platform products.

• Design and develop front end services for a SAAS product using Java and J2EE technologies

• Design and develop REST based web services using Spring or Spring Boot.

• Design and develop front ends using Javascript, Angular 14, React JS, jQuery, nodeJS

• Advise the team on backend and frontend technology concepts and best practices during the design process.

• Collaborate and Participate in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standards..

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Masters degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science with 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development lifecycle

• Experience with Javascript, Angular 14, React JS, jQuery and other Java presentation technologies is a must.

• Experience in REST based web services using Spring framework is a must

• Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications with security

• Experience with Cloud providers (e.g. GCP) and containerization (e.g. Docker)

• Knowledge of data structures and common design patterns.

.• Must be proficient in unit testing and test driven development.

• Must be proficient with using mocking frameworks.

• Must have knowledge of working with Hibernate.

• Must have worked with GIT.

• A good understanding of troubleshooting and using logs and Linux based systems.

• A good understanding of docker and Kubernetes is desirable.

• Good knowledge of performance tuning in JavaScript, Java is a must.

• Prior experience with performance measurement tools like Dynatrace/Datadog would be a plus.
