Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5801700 and is part of the 107TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. THIS IS A TEMPORARY NTE 1 YEAR APPOINTMENT. Responsibilities As a Quality Assurance Specialist, GS-1910-11, you will serve as the single point of contact for interface between the Training Devices (TDs)/Systems contractor, major command (MAJCOM) functional managers, Administrative Contract Office (ACO), functional users and base support organizations. The incumbent serves as the Project Officer (PO) and Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for the TD complex. Serves as flight or boom operator simulator facility manager. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. In addition to the OPM IORs, specialized experience includes experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Knowledge of established techniques, procedures, and requirements concerning depot supply and storage operations and methods: and, skills in applying standard statistical techniques and quality assurance methods to perform surveillance of operations, special audits of problem areas, and investigations of customer complaints on material discrepancies/deficiencies. Education IF USING EDUCATION FOR THIS POSITION: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related You must provide Official Transcripts or a copy of Diploma/Degree to support your Educational claims.
