Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

This role blends electrical estimating, engineering, design, and problem-solving in both office and field environments. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering skills, a hands-on mindset, and a passion for developing efficient, practical solutions to complex electrical challenges. Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including material, labor, and subcontractor pricing.

  • Utilize estimating software to streamline estimates and bids.

  • Work closely with project managers, field teams, and customers to refine project scopes and budgets.

  • Analyze blueprints, specs, and site conditions to provide competitive and realistic bids.

  • Design and develop electrical systems for industrial and commercial projects.

  • Perform load calculations, circuit designs, and system layouts to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

  • Assist in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and value engineering efforts on active projects.

  • Optimize electrical designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and field installation feasibility.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC codes and industry standards in all designs and engineering solutions.

  • Visit job sites to assess project needs and challenges.

  • Work directly with customers, vendors, and field electricians to ensure seamless execution of engineered and designed solutions.

  • Assist with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting when needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).

  • PE license is a plus but not required.

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, engineering, or system design.

  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, system design, and construction methods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr.
