Job Description

Danfoss in Newbern, TN has an opening for a Plant Administration Clerk . The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will facilitate and coordinate programs/projects in relation to the HR and EHS functions. This position will also provide support to the Plant Manager as well as other staff managers, employees, customers, and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains employee personnel and medical files

  • Accurately maintains data integrity of the HRMS (Oracle) system and UKG

  • Assists HR in reporting, establishing, interpreting, and administering policies, legal and ethical compliance, hiring, problem solving, training, and various other activities

  • Provide EHS support including RIR, LTC tracking, Workers’ Compensation, injury/accident report closure • Leads and coordinates company activities and events

  • Maintains and reports monthly metrics and performs additional reporting as needed

  • Coordinates training and other related programs

  • Administers the staffing and requisition process such as scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate travel arrangements, interviewing candidates, recruiting, new hire administration and orientation

  • Provides an open door and assists employees with regards to HR policies, procedures and benefits

  • Serves as liaison for information between HR and accounting/payroll departments

  • Works in a safe manner according to the EHS policies and programs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • Associate degree and/or additional training in business, human resources, or accounting required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of prior related administrative work experience. Previous HR, business, or accounting department experience preferred

  • Must be able to write and speak effectively and to communicate appropriately to all levels of the organization

  • Must have excellent typing/keyboarding skills (accuracy and speed).

  • Must be able to use windows-based software, including powerpoint and excel spreadsheets.

  • Must possess working knowledge in various federal, state and local laws regulating employment issues.

  • Must have ability to manage multiple priorities in an accurate and efficient manner. o Maintaining confidential information.

  • Implementation of Orientation Programs.

  • Communicating and Implementing Corporate/Local Policies
