Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Manager, Events and outside groups to plan and execute flawless company events that showcase and elevate the NJ TRANSIT brand.
Support the sourcing of venues, catering, supporting technology and more, as well as coordinating development of materials needed to produce a high-quality event.
Liaise directly with Marketing partners and outside agencies looking to use NJ TRANSIT property for commercial/non-commercial purposes and handling logistics for tours of NJ TRANSIT work locations.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure all event objectives are accomplished and exceeded.
Additional duties as required.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field.
Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Strong presentation skills; 2 + years of related experience required.
In lieu of a degree, 1 year of experience may be substituted for each year of education.
Knowledge and Skills:
2+ years of event planning experience.
Strong organizational skills that allow for the ability to balance multiple projects at a time
Exceptional attention to detail; Tech-savvy, strategic thinker.
Working Environment:
- Office-based with infrequent (<10%) travel to NJ TRANSIT sites and events.
