Your Role as an Interpreter
We’re on the lookout for talented interpreters who can bring IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and mental health evaluations to life. If you’re someone who thrives on using your linguistic abilities and cultural insights to help others connect, we’re excited to meet you.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Work as a 1099 independent contractor with the freedom to fit assignments around your schedule.
Enjoy competitive hourly compensation with the flexibility to pursue other passions.
Appointments are typically within the business hours of (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM).
If you do not have availability/flexibility during those days and hours in the week, this may not be right for you.
Get rewarded for your time with bi-weekly direct deposit payments.
What We’re Looking For
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin is essential. Official documentation of language proficiency is preferred, but a proficiency test may be conducted if necessary.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional interpreting experience is required. We value dedicated professionals; thus, informal interpreting experience is not considered.
Background Check: You must be willing to obtain background checks: including Federal, State, and Child Registry Checks.
Transportation: You must have dependable transportation. Mileage reimbursement will be provided when applicable.
Availability: You must have flexible daytime availability; we often receive requests in a last-minute capacity.
Location
This position is based in New Castle County, Delaware, and requires in-person attendance.
