This is a great opportunity to impact the public workforce system and ensure individuals with disabilities have equal access to employment and training services. You'll work with staff, partners, businesses, and individuals throughout Fulton, Montgomery, and Schoharie Counties and serve as a resource, a problem-solver, and a bridge-builder among community service providers.

The FMS WDB is seeking a full-time Disability Resource Coordinator (DRC) to provide expertise and to serve as a resource to the Workforce Career Centers and System, in the development, delivery, and coordination of workforce services for individuals with disabilities. Qualifications: -Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field; -Significant experience working in programs delivering services to individuals with disabilities; -Knowledge of local community agencies, providers, and other disability resources; -Ability to communicate with job seekers, business leaders, and workforce development staff; -Strong communication, computer, and presentation skills; -Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; -Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, policy, and procedures relating to equal opportunity and non-discrimination; -Strong knowledge of career exploration and job search processes; and the -Ability to create and manage a broad network of professional contacts. Job Details: This is a full-time, three-year opportunity funded through NYS Department of Labor; continuation of funding will be dependent upon the successful creation of a sustainability plan. Travel reimbursement. Must have reliable transportation. The DRC will work out of the 3 Career Centers in Gloversville, Amsterdam, and Cobleskill, NY.
