The Vice President, O&O Planning is a broad-based and strategic leadership role. The position is responsible for overseeing the channel based strategies across CK Retail to maximize and achieve financial objectives and profitability for all Owned & Operated product categories. The position requires an entrepreneurial mix of visionary strategy development, exceptional financial business acumen, strong understanding of merchandising, and the ability to lead a large team. The VP will develop a strategic vision, with a progressive, customer-centric approach all while holding teams accountable for delivering on sales and profit objectives without operating in the tactics of the day-to-day operations. A key requirement is to demonstrate curiosity in a much broader and more complex business environment transcending our traditional competitive landscape to engage our customer.

The VP will be known as a trusted, agile, collaborative, results-oriented leader and business partner who can lead through influence and who possesses professional maturity and industry credibility. A fundamental requirement is to be able to build trust with their teams and key collaborators. The VP must be comfortable with quickly evaluating existing processes and demonstrating agility to support change. The VP must be able to collaborate across functions to gain alignment that leads to solid execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Set, lead and communicate the strategic assortment planning vision of channel-based strategies that support CK Owned & Operated growth

  • Reduce complexity, act decisively, and model agility in leadership style

  • Align with SVP of Planning & Allocation to ensure financial plans support national, localized, and online assortments with appropriate receipt and inventory levels

  • Oversee effective communication of the total family of business direction and strategies

  • In partnership with Buying, Allocation and Field, build Vision Strategy focusing on emerging customer needs, leveraging business trends, demographics, climate, customer data, assortment analytics and field input

  • Ensure team is adhering to calendar deadlines for class plans and style/sku plants to align assortment, placement, order entry and assortment allocation

  • Maximize sales, margin, and turn through proper planning and execution of merchandise placement by channel

  • Leverage team to ensure assortment plans, unit placements, and allocation of orders tie back to financial plans, assortment vision and promotional strategy for the business

  • Recommend edits of doors, brands and skus based on business performance

  • Build and manage a robust team of highly motivated category managers

  • Build a culture that will drive engagement, commitment, fresh thinking and allow for connectedness at all levels within pyramid

  • Have ability to set and to deliver on a strategic category vision that aligns to the Brand Strategy and deliver financial targets

  • Make “company first” decisions that support what’s best for the enterprise

  • Create a vision that supports being a market share leader in their category

  • Motivate appropriate risk taking

  • Build a strategy and plan that supports a compelling core and curated assortment

  • Size growth opportunities, edit for clarity, and ensure localization initiatives differentiate CK Retail

  • Have a solid understanding and focus on the digital experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; advance degree, a plus

  • Ideally, 10-plus years of progressive experience in complex, best-in-class consumer and lifestyle-oriented companies that ideally create emotional connections with their customers

  • The broad scope of this role requires an understanding of many functions including Stores, Buying, Planning, Allocation, Online and Marketing

  • Ability to empower team to remove obstacles

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and lead functions outside of core competencies (some cross functional experience optimal)

  • Communicate with candor and value open debate to ensure the best ideas come to life

  • Growth oriented mind set with ability to coach teams to embrace growth

Pay Range:$225,000 - $265,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
