Heartbeat seeks a dynamic Vice President of Design to lead and elevate the potential of design thinking in healthcare advertising. In this role, you'll head a multifaceted design department that specializes in branding, campaign development, experience design, and production design.

You will champion excellence, oversee talent management, and introduce innovative strategies to our creative workflow. Working in tandem with a team of skilled designers and creative directors, your goal will be to enhance our work's quality and effectiveness both visually and practically.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and unify all aspects of design to ensure a consistently high standard.

  • Cultivate a team environment that values exceptional design and innovation.

  • Establish quality benchmarks and enforce them to raise the agency's creative caliber.

  • Advance our design methodologies to keep pace with market trends.

  • Partner with leadership to align project priorities with creative and strategic excellence.

Management Structure:

  • Direct report to the Executive Creative Director.

  • Oversight of a growing team of 10+ full-time multidisciplinary designers, supplemented by freelancers.

  • Collaboration with Creative Directors, Resource Managers, and Production Teams.

Qualifications

  • Over a decade of design experience, including leadership roles, preferably in a design studio or agency environment.

  • Proven competence in managing teams and executing superior design projects.

  • Expertise in branding, digital/print design, user experience, and production workflows.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $121,000 - $204,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
