Google Strategy and Operations Lead, Global Sales Activation in New York, New York

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level.

  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing relationships with client and stakeholder executives.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple and diverse stakeholders across businesses, leadership, and teams.

  • Excellent creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a Strategy and Operations Lead in the Global Sales Activation (GSA) organization, you will work with business executives and key leaders on critical business projects. You will operate under uncertainty, structuring complicated issues, and finding creative solutions to business challenges. You will work in a rapidly changing industry, demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight, and be an expert communicator. You will work with key partners across global product leads for external and internal systems, product management, engineering, marketing, risk, compliance, legal, and finance.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Partner with GSA leadership to run GSA business cadence, driving regular business reviews with executive stakeholders.

  • Own strategic initiatives on both an ongoing and immediate basis, working collaboratively across the global organization.

  • Identify opportunities to drive value through change management, process improvements, and driving operational excellence.

  • Develop clear, concise and compelling communications for business stakeholders.
