Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the non-profit sector located in New York. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various tasks including processing grants, assisting with audits, and maintaining the reporting system. You will also be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable projects. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process incoming grants from different sources

• Support in conducting audits

• Monitor and report on the status of grants

• Assist in accounts receivable projects and revamp the reporting system within FundEZ

• Take part in expense reporting and re-coding invoices extracted from the general ledger

• Aid in year-end audit through account reconciliations

• Perform account reconciliations for multiple banks and accounts payable

• Make light journal entries when necessary

• Utilize Excel for various tasks including pivot tables and vlookups. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to maintain and manage General Ledger

• Experience in preparing and adjusting Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge and practical experience with NetSuite software

• Proficiency in using Oracle for accounting tasks

• Experience with QuickBooks software for accounting purposes

• Knowledge of SAP software and its application in accounting

• Ability to conduct and assist in Audit processes

• Experience with FUND E-Z software, specifically in a non-profit setting
