Project FIND Sr. Program Director - Woodstock OAC in New York, New York

Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four older adult centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. Please visit our website at: www.projectfind.org.Job Summary:The Senior Program Director (SPD) for Woodstock OAC supervises the Program Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, maintenance staff, volunteers, and interns, and works with the Food Service Manager for optimal function regarding the kitchen staff and meal programs. The SPD also administers daily operations, which include program and food service provision. The SPD is also responsible for ensuring that program deliverables and outcomes are successfully achieved and must also be able to identify specific community needs, while overseeing compliance with agency policies and government regulations. The SPD must provide oversight to staff to ensure that applicable data collection and reporting procedures related to deliverables/outcomes required by NYC Aging and other funders are managed successfully.Responsibilities include:• Successfully manage, direct, and supervise daily OAC operations, including lunch & dinner service, activities/programs, and Woodstock OAC staff. • Successfully manage site logistics (oversee site upkeep, use of space and site safety).• Manage programmatic interventions with staff, consultants, volunteers, and interns.• Manage external partnerships and collaborations programmatic commitments and interventions.• Manage data collection and tracking procedures and monitor deliverables respective to Woodstock OAC for monthly submission to funders.• Supervise and manage program administrative procedures and contract reporting.• Ensure full compliance with Project FIND, State, County, NYC Aging, and NYS DOHMH protocols, regulations, and standards.• Coordinate and manage food pantry operations.• Work collaboratively with HIR staff to expand programs and services for dual program participants.• Coordinate advocacy efforts and volunteer projects across OAC sites.• Work collaboratively with the Director of Community Services (DCS) on your annual professional development plan and performance evaluation process.• Support staff growth and ensure professional development plans are created and implemented and that you manage the performance evaluation process for staff under your supervision.• Provide coverage at sister Project FIND sites as needed.• Other relative tasks, duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the DCS.Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in the social services or similar field, and two (2) years of experience in a nonprofit setting including supervisory experience or 4+ years' experience in nonprofit program delivery, development, and management.• Experience in mental health services or similar discipline preferred.• Willingness to be trained on Project FIND and NYC Aging databases.• S-95 Certificate of Fitness is required within 90 days of employment.• Knowledge of NYC Aging compliance expectations and DOHMH nutrition and sanitation requirements.• Knowledge of NYC Aging and DOHMH protocols for purchasing and safeguarding food, supplies, and equipment.• Knowledge of strategies for controlling food costs, including details about purchasing, record keeping, and inventory control.• Possess or be able to acquire NYC Food Handlers license.• Knowledge of budget and financial management in the not-for-profit field• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize activities and meet deliverables under deadlines.• Capacity and a desire to gain new skills and knowledge to drive innovative programming.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.• Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to identify and integrate the perspectives and needs of diverse constituents.• Computer proficient, including Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Schedule:Five workdays required, (35 hours weekly Monday-Saturday) from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please note that this position requires the availability and flexibility to work some holidays and weekends.

Minimum Salary: 67000 Maximum Salary: 72000 Salary Unit: Yearly
