The Role
Presidio Solutions Architects (ITOM) lead technical teams in deploying Contender Solutions projects in ServiceNow. The ITOM Solutions Architect will collaborate with project managers and business process consultants to guide clients toward value-driven decisions while adhering to industry and Contender best practices. This role requires deep expertise in ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM), integrations, and technical leadership.
Travel Requirements:
This is a remote role within the Continental United States and will require 10% travel.
Responsibilities include:
- Understand and explain industry and ServiceNow best practices
- Understand and articulate Contender products and service offerings
- Lead technical implementation of ServiceNow ITOM delivery projects, including:
- Conducting demos and working sessions with clients
- Providing guidance to Business Process Consultants
- Gathering and refining client requirements
- Advising clients on best practices and recommended solutions
- Designing solutions that maximize value while minimizing technical debt
- Refining requirements into Agile stories and tasks
- Assigning work to and reviewing work from technical consultants
- Mentoring and assisting technical consultants
- Serve as a Solutions Architect for all ITOM practice products
- Utilize existing integrations and develop new integrations with IT infrastructure using workflows, scripting, and REST APIs
- Develop and configure ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Data Policies, Tables, Forms, and Integration Hub/Flow Designer
- Troubleshoot infrastructure components such as networking, load balancers, operating systems, storage area networks (SANs), and virtualization platforms
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, Kubernetes deployment strategies, and monitoring solutions
- Ensure compliance with ServiceNow SDLC and Agile methodologies
Required Skills and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience
- 7-9 years' experience utilizing the ServiceNow platform and 4-6 years' experience as a ServiceNow Administrator or Developer
- Minimum of 4-6 years' experience interacting with internal or external customers
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience leading teams in developing and configuring ServiceNow
- Proficiency in ITOM-related frameworks such as ITIL
- Ability to interact with customers at all levels, from technicians to C-level executives
- Experience with configuration management and ServiceNow SDLC
- ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
- ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification.
Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:
- Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Workflow/Flow Designer, Table/Form creation, and Dictionary Overrides.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Windows, and VMware.
- Familiarity with data center hardware, network appliances, backup solutions, and Kubernetes deployment strategies
- Strong troubleshooting skills across IT infrastructure components
- Experience with Agile methodology, including story refinement, testing, and scrum
- Certified in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management
