TITLE: Senior Software EngineerEMPLOYER:Stripe, Inc. DUTIES:Design, build, and maintain product experiences in the Stripe Dashboard using TypeScript and Ruby; Enable new product experiences by working across Stripe teams to modify APIs; Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack; Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; Respond to operational issues, coordinating efforts to mitigate and remediate impact in the Dashboard or lower in the stack; Help improve team standards, tooling, and processes.LOCATION:New York, NY (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in software development.Position also requires the following:4 years of experience in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining production web applications.4 years of experience in working with TypeScript and React in production.2 years of experience in working with Ruby in production.2 years of experience in designing and implementing robust reliability measures, including developing unit and integration testing strategies, building monitoring and alerting of production systems, and developing launch plans.2 years of experience in participating in team on-call rotation, including leading resolution of urgent and complex production incidents.2 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable backend systems, including experience with distributed systems and debugging complex issues spanning multiple services/levels of the stack.1 year of experience in leading end to end development of complex product features.1 year of experience in leading project management of 3+ month initiatives, including planning, communicating updates and risks, and working closely with cross functional partners.1 year of experience in reviewing code and mentoring engineers on the team.1 year of experience in conducting technical interviews for the role of Software Engineer and assessing candidate qualifications.SALARY:$201,870 - $210,870/year.CONTACT:To be considered, applicants must send resume to ad-reply@stripe.com referencing job code 3651524.
