Senior Production Engineer (Multiple Positions) - Shopify (USA) Inc. (New York, NY)Enhance resiliency of Shopify’s platform by coding and designing new systems. Investigate root case of incidents, diagnose the problem, and revolve. Apply knowledge of Kubernetes and the Kubectl command to fetch the detailed application logs, internal events, configuration values, and how to sign-in to the applications for all applications on Kubernetes. Leverage understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to determine the causes of incidents on the production platform. Collaborate with product and engineering teams, as well as internal and external users, to build proof of concept and shape the future of Shopify’s e-commerce platform. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. up to 100% of the time.SALARY: $225,200 - $256,630 base salary per year.WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems/ Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems/ Technology, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Building and debugging distributed and high-availability software systems; Software resilience and disaster recovery; Maintaining network systems, including DNS, routing, load-balancers, or firewalls; Designing the development, delivery, and automation of software infrastructure within a cloud environment; and Developing and designing software solutions in Go, Python, Java, C++, C#, or C.Travel to various locations throughout the U.S./ international required up to 5%.Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. up to 100% of the time.TO APPLY: Email resume to shopifyjobs@shopify.com and specify requisition number 40927096 in the subject line.
