Are you interested in learning more about the trade and international sides of the publishing business, while working with a variety of departments in an essential role?Our Sales Ops team is hiring a Senior Marketing Associate to help with the key behind-the-scenes work of getting physical and digital books to stores and to readers all over the world!

Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Manager, Sales Operations, this position will be involved in coordination of our international editions, signed editions, and subscription box programs. The position will interact with many parts of the business including Sales Directors, international vendors, Special Markets, and our Publishing teams in key day-to-day responsibilities. A great next step for individuals looking to grow in an Operations career.

Responsibilities

  • Support for international edition program, including setting up titles, coordination with departments on Sales Ops logistics and tracking editions with Sales team

  • Point person for interdepartmental coordination for systems needs across Sales team

  • Lead for signed editions program,including soliciting requests, communicating schedules, and maintaining master coordination grids

  • Facilitation of local prints, including liaising with production, setting schedules and communication across departments

  • Organization of subscription box and special projects, including ISBN requests, routing materials for approval and communicating deadlines

  • Coordination of promotional price program for International Markets in partnership with US Digital Sales Team

  • Sales Ops Lead for inventory coordination across international and special projects, including drop ship program

  • Support for print on demand program Organization and coordination lead for competitive publisher tracking and our HCUK/HCUS shared titles

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience; prior publishing or project management experience a plus

  • Detail-oriented, well organized, able to set priorities and juggle multiple projects under pressure

  • Ability to maintain complicated schedules involving multiple projects and people

  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products and ability to learn a variety of company systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience

The salary range for this position is $55,500 - $65,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
