Marsh & McLennan Senior Manager, FP&A - Financial Strategy and Analysis in New York, New York
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh as aSenior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysisfor ourCorporate FP&A team based out of ourNew York, NYoffice. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. This position will report to the Head of Financial Strategy & Analysis in MMC Corporate FP&A and also provide support to the Global Finance Director of MMC FP&A Consolidations.We will count on you to:Execute analytical projects that generate insights for senior management on a diverse range of FP&A topicsCreate compelling, impactful presentations to assist in senior management communications and driving outcomes with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Finance Leadership Team, and CEOs and CFOs of our businessesConduct analyses and projects that contextualize MMC financial planning with both industry data and competitor performancePerform portfolio optimization and capital allocation analytics to provide insights on value creationMonitor, summarize and produce analyses on macro-economic indicators to help shape strategy, budget, forecast and earnings processesBuild and maintain financial analytical models to answer questions, perform scenario analyses, and guide decision makingExecute compelling competitor analyses that drive insight for senior management and facilitate decision makingProvide ongoing support to corporate FP&A consolidations team on key earnings deliverablesAssist in the preparation and analysis of the monthly Flash Results and Outlook memo and business leader reports focusing on individual operating company performanceProvide support on requests received from other finance and non-finance functions for analysis and presentations - Treasury, Controllership, Communications, Legal, HRAssist in the preparation of annual budget targets for the businesses, learn to update the long-term forecasting modelParticipate in Group Peer Review of Monthly Business Leader Review forecast, quarterly Results Package, Conference Call Dashboard, Presentation for Executive Committee and Board meetings, Budget PresentationsWhat you need to have:5-8 years of experience in Finance and/or AccountingBachelor's Degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting or Economics requiredAdvanced proficiency with excel, powerpointFamiliarity with financial data providers (FactSet, Bloomberg, Capital IQ)Financial modeling skills in excelExperience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Financials preferredStrong writing abilities with emphasis on facility in crafting narratives around financial results and analysesWhat makes you stand out:MBA, CPA, CFA, or other master's level Finance/Accounting Degree.Experience in equity or fixed income research, financial and strategy consulting, or investment banking, with a concentration in Professional Services and P&C insurance sector being a plus.Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, along with familiarity with financial data providers (FactSet, Bloomberg, Capital IQ).Experience in the P&C insurance sector as a broker, underwriter, or actuaryFamiliarity with predictive analytics / AI toolsWhy join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC) is a global leader in risk, strategy and people, advising clients in 130 countries across four businesses: Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.The applicable base salary range for this role is $112,900 to $225,500.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
