Robert Half Senior Financial Analyst in New York, New York

Description

The Associate Manager/Senior Financial Analyst will calculate losses for individuals and institutional investors who invested in financial securities. He/she/they will process large volumes of transaction data from public pension funds, asset management companies, and high net worth individuals to determine if their publicly traded securities (such as common stocks, options or corporate bonds) have been "damaged" from the revelation of securities fraud. The Associate Manager/Senior Financial Analyst will run reports to search for the relevant security identifiers for new and settled cases and use the Bloomberg terminal to pull company specific data on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements - Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system

  • Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Background in financial analysis and planning

  • Valuations experience highly desired

  • Asset Valuation experience preferred

  • Valuation Modeling experience preferred

  • Proven knowledge of securities

  • Proficiency in Equity Valuation

  • Solid understanding of Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
