How will you make an impact in this role?
U.S. Consumer Services is responsible for American Express’ suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, and best-in-class marketing programs. The team’s strategy is to build a strong premium Card business differentiated by Membership, which is brought to life by connecting our Card Members to what they love
The Lending and Pricing team within U.S. Consumer Services manages a suite of lending products and services including Plan It, Pay Over Time, Personal Loans, Line, MyCredit Guide as well as Pricing strategies and capabilities. The team’s strategy is to strengthen membership by winning a greater share of the borrowing needs of our premium customers.
This Senior Analyst role will report to the Director, U.S. Consumer Acquisition Pricing. This position will be responsible for developing and innovating new strategies around Balance Transfer and work closely with key partners across different functions and across different levels of seniority. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for enhancing reporting & monitoring of Balance Transfer, conducting deep data analysis for improving overall customer experience, creating new controls & documenting procedures to reduce operational complexity, ensure compliance with the applicable regulations, and support the company’s financial roadmap.
Job Responsibilities:
Own Balance Transfer Infrastructure and its capability enhancement. Work with multiple stakeholders - Compliance, Control Management, Technology, Servicing, Finance & Product teams to ensure accuracy & reliability of the product offering.
Setup robust data tracking & complaints monitoring to run an operationally assured business.
Work with business partners to inform innovative lending and pricing strategies around Balance Transfer
Perform competitive benchmarking by effectively leveraging qualitative and quantitative information.
Analyze customer data and lending portfolio trends to identify customer insights and revenue opportunities
Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders to help shape lending strategy
Qualifications:
Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across different functional teams across different levels of seniority
Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously and influence business partners to prioritize key initiatives
Excellent data analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage large data sets to inform business decisions
Hands-on expertise using statistical analysis and data manipulation software/tools (e.g. Python, SQL, and Big Data analytic techniques)
Strong will-to-win, intellectual curiosity, drive to do what it takes to meet deadlines with a “can do” attitude
Innovative thinker and creative problem-solver who is able and willing to challenge the status quo
High quality written and oral communication skills
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
