ABOUT LOVESHACKFANCY

LoveShackFancy began in 2013 with a beach-to-ballroom hand-dyed halter dress that founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen made for her bridal party. Over time, that one article of clothing, created to celebrate love, has turned into a world filled with all things romantic, dreamy and drenched in optimism — from clothing to tabletop, bedding, swim, ski, travel accessories, shoes and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily communication with internal cross functional teams involved in the product creation and merchandising approval process

  • Communicate daily with overseas suppliers on all stages of development process, monitoring development trials along with proto and SMS status

  • Responsible for the hand off to Production of all ranges of products

  • Work closely with the designers to develop each category from initial concept through to finished product

  • To provide information and resolve problems that arise during and after the development of the collection

  • Respond to margin requirements – be aware of costs at wholesale and retail when developing

  • Assist in creating and updating WIP tracking charts for both domestic and overseas sample development on a daily basis

  • Ensure all sample deliveries are on time to showrooms prior to sales presentation

  • Implement development critical path with manufacturers, ensuring prototypes deadlines are adhered to

  • Support in proto fittings

  • Manage time and action calendars for the team and reviews workflow to ensure timelines are met

  • Be a role model for other team members in regard to product creation process and show leadership through living the brand values

  • Travel to trade shows as necessary to execute and follow through on brand strategies

  • Assist in pre-costing process from proto through SMS stage and assisting in cost sheet creation and updates

  • Manage collection BOM maintenance and BOM finalization, ensuring accuracy and timely completion for costing and production pass off

  • Communicate sample updates and deliveries to cross functional teams

  • Assist in processing department supplier requests and invoices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Product Development

  • Previous Experience creating and managing BOMs

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize & multi-task in a busy office environment

  • Proactive problem solver

  • Must be highly organized

  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional partners

  • Independent, self-motivated, and detail oriented

  • Understanding of development costing process

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs

Salary Description

$60,000 - $65,000
