Capital One's Brand Digital Enterprise Strategy team is looking for a Principal Associate who can help to develop go-to-market strategies and marketing programs that will drive awareness and enhanced perception of our robust digital offerings. They will leverage their expertise in product marketing to forge relationships, create buy-in and develop a shared agenda with partner stakeholders. They are champions and can define persona and messaging strategy across disciplines - championing the customer at every stage along the way.

What You'll Do:

  • Be a subject matter expert on Capital One's enterprise digital tools and experiences, such as our mobile app features, digital payment solutions, and more.

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for existing and emerging digital tools and execute launch marketing campaigns across multiple channels (both owned and paid).

  • Partner with product teams to identify campaign growth opportunities and optimizations.

  • Develop robust learning agendas and test plans to continually optimize campaigns and creative assets.

  • Develop a detailed understanding of our target audience, user journeys, use cases, and marketing channels to inform marketing strategy and asset development.

  • Synthesize performance data, research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve results.

  • Identify opportunities to develop relevant marketing assets, managing the entire process from ideation to creative briefing and production with external agencies.

  • Lean into brand campaigns, SEO, and content development to help drive awareness and adoption of our digital tools and features.

  • Showcase learnings and successes through well-refined communication and presentation skills.

  • Work proactively in an agile environment and identify when to work outside the process in whitespace.

  • Serve as key liaison for and collaborate with cross-functional teams including partners from: Product Management, Performance Marketing, Business/Data Analytics, Tech, Legal, Brand

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Military experience

  • At least 4 years of multi-channel marketing experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of marketing programs

  • At least 3 years of experience managing creative processes and working with creative teams


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a product marketing role

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services

  • 4+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment

  • 4+ years of experience in Brand strategy

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $118,700 - $135,400 for Principal Associate, Marketing

San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $125,700 - $143,500 for Principal Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
