New York University Post Doctoral Associate (PI: Dr. Nigel Bunnett) in New York, New York

The Bunnett & Schmidt Laboratory New York University College of Dentistry seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Associate with expertise in the studies of pain signaling by G protein-coupled receptors and receptor tyrosine kinases. Applications from candidates with expertise in preclinical models of pain and molecular pharmacology of receptors are particularly welcome.

The position offers competitive salary and exposure to a rich scientific environment at NYU and the New York City area and assistance in finding postdoctoral housing.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $52,500.00 - $62,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grand funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Candidates should have expertise in preclinical models of pain and interest in analyzing pain signaling at the molecular and cellular level. They should have evidence of scholarly accomplishments, including publications in leading scientific journals. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, design and conduct experiments, and to work in a collaborative environment as part of a research team. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and be able to provide evidence of research productivity.
