Future PLC Payroll & Equity Specialist in New York, New York

We are excited to welcome a Payroll & Equity Specialist to our New York team. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about people, payroll and data, well-versed in the mechanics of total rewards and eager to collaborate with diverse teams across multiple countries.

In this dual role, the Payroll & Equity Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of our semi-monthly payroll using Ceridian Dayforce. As the primary contact for payroll and equity matters, you will support our North American colleagues in the US and Canada and serve as a vital partner to our internal People Operations and Finance teams. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining compliance, driving process improvements, and supporting our employees.

What you'll be doing...

As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll be overseeing end-to-end semi-monthly payroll for 700+ employees in a multi-state environment plus a small Canadian population.

  • Operational instruction and transmittal of outsourced semi-monthly multi-state payroll for our US employees, as well as our Canadian population.

  • You’ll be the key point of contact and data for:

  • Our data vendors, providing them with recurring reports and other information as needed

  • Our service provider, to ensure Federal, State and Local tax compliance - liaising directly with authorities to resolve discrepancies if needed

  • Our 401k audits, including compiling data & investigating queries

  • Advising and supporting on US acquisition projects to ensure smooth payroll transfer, plus aiding legacy closures

  • Processing tax adjustments as needed, plus year-end W2 filing

  • Periodic reporting to third parties as needed

  • Keep up to date with legislative changes (I.e. state specific minimum wage, tax and benefit reporting requirements) and work with our technical team to ensure updates are made to the payroll software

  • Processing garnishments, monopolistic workers compensation, union payments & leave of absence payments

  • Management of hourly employees’ payroll using our integrated time and attendance software

  • Support People Operations Generalists, where required, with general benefits administration in relation to payroll.

  • All other duties as assigned

Equity: Key Responsibilities

We are an international, publicly listed company that uses the Global Shares platform to manage our equity programs. In this role, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day administration of our equity program, including reviewing, updating and maintaining accurate records of equity grants

  • Provide direct support and partner with key stakeholders in our Finance, Legal, and People teams

  • Serve as a point of contact would support our partnership with the Global Shares team

  • Respond to employee and leadership questions regarding our company programs

  • Support company communications around our equity programs

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • 3+ years experience in payroll and ideally in equity administration

  • You will have strong knowledge of multi-state US/Canadian statutory legislation

  • Excellent data skills, specifically Excel/Sheet, skills and a helpful disposition

  • You will also have strong customer service skills and a keen and can-do attitude

  • Payroll qualifications are desirable, as is experience using Dayforce, our payroll system

  • Experience with equity platforms and public company share plans

Please note, the salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000

This is a Hybrid role from our New York office, working three days from the office, two from home.
