Position Summary
The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a short-term worker as part of Dr. Shivakoti's global HIV research team and research projects. The worker will report to the Principal Investigator regarding multiple projects related to nutrition, microbiome and metabolism in various health outcomes (e.g. HIV, TB, maternal-child health). The incumbent will assist with conducting data management and analyses using statistical software and epidemiologic methods. The incumbent will also perform literature reviews and assist with logistics related to projects, manuscripts and grants.
Responsibilities
Data management and analysis: 25%
Grant writing, Grant Logistics, Project logistics, assist in IRB submissions, literature review, manuscript preparation and presentation of materials for conferences and lectures: 70%
Other duties: 5%
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is required
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree preferred. Strong writing skills and familiarity with data management and analysis are strongly preferred.
- The successful candidate must possess a high level of initiative, clear communication skills, and attention to detail in addition to a demonstrated ability to be flexible to the evolving needs of several global health studies.
