Medical Assistant

Dr. Nicholas Beatty

Full-Time

Overview:

Hospital for Special Surgery, #1 in Orthopedics for the last 14 years and is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Full-Time Medical Assistant for one of our physician offices. Dr. Nicholas Beatty specializes in physiatric sports medicine, interventional spine care, and musculoskeletal conditions. In this role you will assist the provider with outpatient office visits, as well as provide administrative support to an HSS physician practice and contribute to an environment of clinical excellence.

Competencies/skills:

  • Experience withEpicMedical Records Systemrequired; strong computer skills required as well

  • Knowledge of Medical and Orthopedic terminologypreferred

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to follow through with tasks to completion

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to effectively and accurately follow directions or instructions

  • Knowledge of healthcare and health insurance

  • Coordinating patient intake, answering patient calls, scheduling appointments, documentation, and assisting in scribing during patient visits.

  • Serve as an ambassador in patient flow and care operations, and outreach to referring practices.

  • Confirm radiology services have been completed prior to physician visits.

  • Assist patients with wayfinding and transport (e.g., wheelchair) throughout the site.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Maintain efficient patient throughput and clinic flow.

  • Assist patients with filling out questionnaires and assessment forms.

  • Assist in managing patient information, uploading CD images & making copies of pertinent exams.

  • Perform chart review.

Qualifications

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred) and at least two years of experience in an ambulatory practice setting. Medical Assistant Certification from an Accredited Program required.

Pay Range - Minimum

USD $30.77/Hr.

Pay Range - Maximum

USD $31.72/Hr.
