How can you make an impact?

The Marketing organization is looking for a Market Development Manager to identify and deploy market development strategies to drive customer insights and revenue growth. They will help inform future state and drive revenue growth of specific products, collaborating closely with members of the business unit through a matrix organization.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Occasional travel may be required, such as attendance at customer events, on-site meetings, trade shows, and annual sales meetings.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute large-scale market development plans to inform content and platform roadmaps and drive product growth.
  • Create engagement strategies to excite customers and inspire them to partner with McGraw Hill.
    Partner with product and platform teams to strategize about gathering customer insights to inform future development through market research.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to strategize on key growth areas.
  • Create high-value relationships with key target faculty representing our largest and most important growth opportunities.
  • Command all budgeting, targeting, and tracking processes tied to market development.
  • Manage sales pipeline through tracking of customer engagement.
  • Identify, train, and manage freelance support teams to enable market development plans.
  • Perform market data analysis and synthesize results to make data-driven decisions.
  • Organize and collaborate on virtual and in-person events, including presentations and focus groups.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Two or more years of client-facing Marketing/Market Development/Business Development/Sales or Product Development experience, preferably in the field of education, higher education, or technology.
  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • Strong Project Management skills and attention to detail, experience in Project Management a plus
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and execute market development objectives to inform future state, grow market share, and drive revenue.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Independent problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce and Qualtrics
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%.

The pay range for this position is between $70,000 - $100,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
