This individual will be an integral part of the Trading efforts of the Global Liquidity Team in New York

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, execute, and reconcile Money Market trades. Asset classes include US Treasuries, US Agencies, Corporate Credit, and Repurchase Agreements.

  • Collaborate within investment team to strategize execution, manage intraday cash flows, and coordinate liquidity needs of MSIM liquidity funds

  • Specifically partner with Portfolio Managers to coordinate execution of Treasury Auctions, Agency Issuance, Credit Issuance, and Term Repo Transactions

  • Effectively communicate market conditions and investment strategy to the Portfolio Managers, investment team, and distribution function.

  • Communicate with Sales and Client Service teams to ensure accurate client cash flow details

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing counterparties

  • Seek operational improvements and automation within the trading function

  • Adopt ad-hock projects to aid in investment analysis and deepen investing framework

  • 5 years of fixed income/money market investment experience

  • Experience with: US Treasuries, US Agencies, Deposits, Corporate Credit, and Repurchase Agreements.

  • Execution experience preferred with knowledge of full trade life-cycle

  • Meticulous attention to detail and desire to solve problems

  • Highly proficient in a team oriented, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and quantitative skills

  • Functioning knowledge of bond math as well as the banking system as it relates to money markets

  • Proficient in Bloomberg, Tradeweb, MarketAxess – Aladdin a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
