WPIX is looking for a full-time Lifestyle Segment Producer for the morning shift. Can you think big and execute BIGGER? Responsibilities:
Work independently to make each segment sing with creativity
Book and produce multiple segments daily
A Pro at Making Segments Smart, Serious, Fun and Must See TV
You use graphics, props and anything else you can come up with to make your segments larger than life
Work with a team of hosts, producers, production assistants, director, floor crew, editors to make sure your segments are executed as you envisioned
Work with The Executive Producer and Supervising Producers to make sure show vision and mission is executed
Brainstorm creative social media components for segments.Work with the Digital Team so a Segment or Story takes On it's Own Life on all Platforms
Build Relationships with and Maintain a Rolodex of Show Contributors, Experts and Celebrities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience at a television station, network segment producer
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Fluency in English.
Must have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
Proficiency with non-linear editing equipment, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro
Social Media Fluency
Love and passion for news
Available to work weekends & evenings (when needed)
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to work any shift
Pay Range: 90k-100k annually
