Within Finance, the Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supports senior management by developing and communicating the organization’s financial plans and forecasts. The team’s core responsibilities include multi-year strategic financial planning, P&L forecasting, balance sheet forecasting, short-term (STI) and long-term incentive (LTI) plan performance measurement, and advanced analysis of financial and operational performance.

About the role

The Corporate FP&A team is seeking a Financial Analysis Assistant Director who is able to analyze, interpret and synthesize complex financial information in a manner that supports executive decision-making and drives AIG’s financial and operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to translate quantitative analysis into actionable insights and recommendations to senior management. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills and the ability to deliver a high-quality work product in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you need to know:

· Develop storyboards and Board of Directors / Senior Management level presentations that synthesize and clearly convey key themes and analytics along with financial results and KPIs in a cohesive manner

· Drive weekly Pulse forecast process including multiple meetings with stakeholders, tracking of key updates to financial results and developing corresponding analytics

· Support development of quarterly forecast and annual budgets that set the upcoming years targets and tracking against those KPIs and goals

· Close and frequent collaboration with Investor Relations, Capital Management / Treasury, and Controllers teams

· Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic (e.g., M&A) and operational initiatives

· Clearly communicate financial information and analysis to senior management

What we’re looking for:

· Bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in a quantitative field (e.g., finance, accounting, mathematics, economics) preferred

· 10+ years of finance, accounting or related experience, preferably within the P&C insurance industry

· Strong analytical and quantitative skills

· Demonstrated financial acumen and experience developing detailed financial models / analysis

· Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

· Proactive, highly motivated and results-driven

· Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Anaplan, SAP, BPC a plus

The base salary range for this position is $158,000-$197,500 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits, a summary of which can be viewed here: US Benefits Overview.
