Citigroup Data/Information Mgt Lead Analyst - VP in New York, New York

Banking organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the more than 90 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence. Its purpose is to effectively and consistently harness the power of Citi’s talent, expertise, and global reach to serve and support large and mid-sized companies, wherever they do business, with achieving their strategic objectives. Banking is organized around three business lines:

Investment Bank – Meets clients’ capital raising needs and provides merger and acquisition and equity and debt capital markets-related strategic advisory and financing solutions leveraging public and private markets.

Corporate Bank – Serves as the conduit of Citi’s full product suite to large corporate and FI clients.

Commercial Bank – Helps mid-sized companies address the challenges of rapid growth and international expansion by providing them with Citi’s full product suite.This role is within Data Office for Banking organization and is responsible for governing the implementation of Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures for the business globally. Roles in the Data office space is critical to prevent compromised data be created across the enterprise., undermining the business processes, raising regulatory and compliance concerns, and generating bad reputation to the bank. Having inconsistent data can also generate bad reputation not only externally but internally within our business users.

This role is a combination effort between the business and the technology team bringing principle and best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Establish relationships across the organization to understand, interpret and document the bank's data flows, in line with the Chief Data Office guideline and framework.

  • Work with Business and IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define the bank's data, in line with our enterprise wide 'data language'.

  • Continuously collaborate with CDO teams to ensure a comprehensive view of the full picture of data flow and data quality controls.

  • Maintain an excellent standard for all aspects of project delivery and governance, including planning, status reporting and risk management.

  • Act as a the End User Computing (EUC) Global champion for the Commercial Bank and partner with cluster champions to ensure CCB is aligned to the EUC policy and standard.

  • Partner with Enterprise EUC Governance team and Banking EUC leads to ensure Banking is delivering on the Consent Order commitments.

  • Capture and maintain consistency of data elements, Metadata and Data Quality for Banking

  • Help the Business to utilize data assets to full capacity and ensure that all available data is ‘fit-for-purpose’.

  • Identify and perform end-to-end mapping of the critical business processes. Document the key controls that exist along these data flows that maintain the integrity of the data and facilitate control framework assessments that ensure known gaps or issues are documented.

  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk and Finance on the identification of systems of record and ensure appropriate use.

  • Other responsibilities include detailed evaluation of Data Quality, identification of anomalies and discrepancies and the contribution of expertise to understand the root cause and implement corrective measures.

  • Accountable for effective internal business process controls by monitoring data quality reports with associated KPIs and metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in adoption and implementation of data management controls per Citi’s MCA program, and reviews to attest to the effectiveness of the design and execution of these controls.

  • Apply and coach the principles of operational excellence, development of problem statements and action plans, as well as value stream mapping and systematic problem solving.

  • Work across multiple business units to understand the linkages and dependencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degreein business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master’s degree is preferred, but not required.

  • Preferably 6+ years of combined experiencein banking and financial services industry.

  • Experience with data management tools and applications, including process mapping and lineage toolsets (Ex: SQL, Collibra, etc.)

  • Experience in Data Quality concepts & best practices, Data Management or Data Governance required.

  • Knowledge in all aspects of Data Governance, Metadata and Data Quality Management.

  • Ability to perform data quality analysis in large datasets, report anomalies and work with the IT team for resolution.

  • Lead initiatives within businesses, function, and across the enterprise. Ability to communicate strategic insights and updates.

  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving to recognize and comprehend complex data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements, and industry information.

  • Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills; bring clarity to help management understand and visualize complex material.

  • Strong relationship management and consulting skills with proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders.

  • Team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work, in a fast-paced environment; motivated self-starter.

  • Experience in dealing with all levels of management in highly complex organizational dynamics.

  • Quick learner who enjoys working as part of a team that has global presence.

  • Detail oriented, self-starter and able to ensure that complex data governance concepts, issues, policies, regulatory requirements, and industry information affecting the business environment and being able to simply the issues and correctly documented.

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
