Salary:$68,250
Program Overview:
The Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Department designs, implements, and manages Project
Renewal’s systems of performance measurement and management, quality assurance, and quality improvement.
PEQA’s objective is to enhance the agency’s ability to achieve its mission by developing and facilitating processes
that measurably improve the quality and effectiveness of our services and operations, and to support agency
leadership in managing towards high performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Quality Coordinator position reports to the Director of Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance and
collaborates closely with the agency’s programs to provide oversight and support that ensures the highest quality
of data capture. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop, lead, and manage a caseload of data quality initiatives projects related to internal program and
outside funder requirements;
• Lead the monitoring of data quality within the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for
Project Renewal’s six HUD-funded projects and work with program supervisors and staff to improve data
quality and identify areas for program improvement;
• Maintain solid understanding of HMIS data standards and act as subject matter expert on all things HMIS,
including supporting Annual Performance Report (APRs) preparation and corrections, HICPIT survey
reporting, and NYC CoC Annual Evaluations;
• Conduct annual trainings for relevant staff on HMIS data quality standards and documentation
requirements;
• Collaborate with program leadership and IT on design and development of new reports, dashboards, and
database infrastructure to ensure that program staff have the information they need to make decisions;
• Conduct in-depth analyses to support agency initiatives, program planning, and respond to ad-hoc funder
requests that require thoughtful evaluation of data and the ability to deliver easily digestible results for a
broad audience;
• Aggregate, analyze, and provide feedback on data from a variety of data collection and evaluation
activities;
• Support departmental trainings for program staff/supervisors in implementing performance
measurement/ management systems and conducting internal quality assurance processes, which ensure
high quality data capture within those systems;
• Perform a variety of data management and analysis projects to support the department’s mission;

Education/Experience Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a related field, or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in
human services, program evaluation, quality assurance, or related field;
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, experience with data management, knowledge of relational
databases;
• Experience working with web-based case management documentation software (such as
Foothold/AWARDS) and electronic health record systems;
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), utilizing virtual platforms for meetings
and trainings (Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, Zoom, etc.);
• Experience with data visualization, information design, database development, and workflow design;
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively with multiple
stakeholders;
• Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with excellent project management and organizational
skills
