Tradeweb Data Governance Specialist - Collibra DQ in New York, New York

The Data Governance Analyst role within the Data Management & Governance team at Tradeweb is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data assets. Reporting directly to the Data Governance Lead, this position focuses on implementing and optimizing Collibra's data governance functionalities tailored to financial and regulatory data management. The Analyst will spend significant time on data entry, cataloging, and creating data quality controls within Collibra to ensure comprehensive documentation and accessibility of financial data assets.

The Data Governance Analyst, as a point person for the Compliance Team, will be involved in a variety of initiatives at different stages of evolution across regulatory data requests, as well as tools and platforms used by the Compliance team in addition to Collibra.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Data Governance Lead to implement and optimize the usage of Collibra, specializing in data governance functionalities tailored to financial and regulatory data management used by compliance functions.

  • Actively participate in Collibra-related activities, including data entry, cataloging, and the creation of data dictionaries, ensuring that financial data assets are accurately documented and accessible.

  • Assist in establishing and refining a comprehensive data governance framework, including governance structures, roles, and responsibilities, tailored to address the unique needs of financial and regulatory data governance.

  • Monitor and analyze key data governance metrics and KPIs related to financial and regulatory data, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders for continuous improvement and risk mitigation. This includes advising on overall data quality of existing or new datasets to meet business requirements.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes relevant to financial and regulatory data governance, incorporating best practices and emerging standards into the organization's data governance strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data management or financial compliance are preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or financial compliance roles, with exposure to Collibra or similar data governance platforms in the financial sector.

  • Proficiency in using Collibra or similar data governance tools and platforms, with a strong understanding of financial data concepts such as asset classes, financial instruments, and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams within a financial context.

  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in financial data governance processes and controls.

  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, such as Dodd-Frank, Basel III, and GDPR preferred.

  • The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $85,000 to $200,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
