Job Location: 100 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013Note: Company “Hybrid” work attendance policy: In-office work attendance required at the aforementioned office address for collaboration days based on each team’s requirement; telecommuting/working from home is permissible for remainder of the same month.Duties: Analyze and curate massive amounts of data for thousands of different tradable financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, futures, contracts, commodities, and more. Create systematic, automated processes and tools that allow the team to scale and rapidly onboard new datasets. Collaborate with business partners, software engineers, and other data analysts to understand business needs and then design and develop reliable data pipelines that produce high quality datasets. Support day-to-day company operations by applying problem solving, pattern detection, and root cause analysis to a wide range of data issues in a fast-paced environment. Help drive continuous improvements to the team’s data quality procedures and a consistent approach to how data quality is measured, monitored, and reported. Minimum requirements: Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field as the educational requirement plus 1 year of experience in the job offered.Alternative minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field as the educational requirement plus 3 years of experience in the job offered.Skills required: Must have experience using the following skills: algorithms development for statistical tests (or quantitative data quality tests) and data extraction on large datasets on an at least gigabytes scale; scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell (Bash); SQL and relational databases, including ability to perform efficient table joins to extract, transform, and load data on an at least gigabytes scale; exploratory data analysis for large volume of structured, unstructured, and raw data files, including statistical summary and visualization; Jira tools; and Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Must also pass company’s required skills assessment.Base salary: The base pay for this role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental, and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation.
