Through our events business, The Insurer Events, we provide networking opportunities through a global series of events, conferences and awards ceremonies.By combining World Business Media Limited's specialized expertise in these markets with the global scale and reach of Reuters, we believe we can help uncover greater growth, advantages and actionable insight for insurance professionals across the globe.We're looking for a Content Editor to join our team in New York to build out its commercially driven, market-leading multimedia platform and selection of sponsored opportunities.We are looking for an ambitious feature writer and broadcast editor with a keen interest in video content to help grow our portfolio.Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will help devise and explore new concepts, create compelling content plans and deliver cutting-edge, thought-provoking and intelligent insight for our audience - the global P&C and specialty (re)insurance industry - while achieving the goals of our partners.About the Role
As Content Editor at Reuters, you will:

  • Create new and developing current product initiatives in both written and video form to reinforce the client's visibility in a competitive market.
  • Contribute to interview and content direction across our commercial video platform - https://www.theinsurer.com/tv.
  • Produce written interviews with our commercial partners for our sister titles.
  • Work closely with in house and external production teams.
  • Attend and presenting at events.
  • Liaise with senior market individuals and building strong relationships.
  • Work with key stakeholders to deliver projects.
  • Market research to create and deliver new opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the internal marketing team.
  • Work with the commercial team to support client activity.


About You
To be our Content Editor, you will likely have:

  • Keen interest in broadcast/video content and the production that sits behind this.
  • Ability to research complex industry topics.
  • Proven competence as a writer.
  • Previous experience of working within the financial services industry (reinsurance/insurance market preferable, but not essential).
  • Event hosting experience (webinar, roundtable, conference session etc).
  • Confidence to pitch new ideas to the team when you see an opportunity.
  • Creativity, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to a deadline.
  • Teamwork and the ability to foster good working relationships.
  • Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • A flexible approach to work.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $81,600 - $151,600. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
