Robert Half Business Systems Analyst in New York, New York

Description We are in search of a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in the non-profit industry, located in New York. The role is focused on the technical assessment of our current system, maintaining software, and providing ongoing support. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of our existing software to understand its current state

• Document the system architecture of our software, originally built on FileMaker Pro

• Identify any technical debt within the software and propose solutions to address these issues

• Collaborate with end-users to understand their needs and how they interact with the software

• Provide ongoing support for software maintenance and user inquiries

• Ensure that our software, which catalogs and tracks brain tissue for the Autism Brain Net, remains functional and efficient

• Leverage your experience with FileMaker Pro to enhance the performance of our software

• Work independently to perform a full technical assessment of our legacy system. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role within a non-profit organization.

• Proficiency in using FileMaker Pro and other relevant software for business analysis.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective systems and process improvements.

• Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven experience in project management and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

• Knowledge of non-profit industry trends, challenges, and standards.

• Experience in preparing and presenting detailed reports on business systems analysis findings and recommendations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
